Step-by-step setup
Learn what each value does
The address names the machine holding your line. The username identifies your account on it. The password proves it is yours. That is all — no portal, no email confirmation, no second factor. Which is exactly why those three together are the subscription, and why sending them outside your household is handing over the subscription rather than sharing it.
Find the option under whatever name your player uses
Smarters: Login with Xtream Codes API. TiViMate: Xtream Codes login. Others shorten it to Xtream or simply API. Wherever a player offers this alongside a playlist field, take this one — it brings the guide and catalogue with it and the playlist route frequently brings neither.
Enter the address with more care than the rest
**Protocol at the front, port at the end, nothing after: http://example.com:8080.** If a login fails and you can only check one field, check this one. Across every platform on this site it causes more failures than the username and password combined, and the error message never says so.
Type the name and password rather than pasting
Both are case sensitive. Pasting from a messaging app attaches invisible whitespace remarkably often, producing a rejection indistinguishable from a wrong password. Typing them by hand once settles the question in either direction and takes twenty seconds.
Keep a note of which screens are configured
In a house with several televisions it is surprisingly easy to lose track, and it matters when the simultaneous limit starts refusing streams. A short list — lounge, bedroom, two phones, laptop — turns a mystifying refusal into an obvious one, and it is the first thing we will ask you to enumerate.
Reuse them everywhere
Lounge, bedroom, laptop, two phones — identical values each time, about two minutes apiece. Your tier governs how many play at once, not how many are configured, so leaving a screen out saves nothing and costs you the moment somebody wants it.
Put them somewhere you can find them
Not only in a chat thread, where they will sit under four hundred later messages exactly when somebody wants to add a tablet. A password manager, or a note. With them to hand, adding a screen is under a minute; without them it is a message to us and a wait.
Common errors and fixes
The player only wants a playlist
Whose: the software. Some older players never learned this format. Use the M3U link from the same message, which wraps the same account differently. Where both options exist, there is no reason to choose the playlist.
It all looks correct and is still refused
Whose: almost certainly whitespace. Type all three by hand, slowly, once. Copying from chat brings trailing spaces along more often than anybody expects and nothing on screen reveals it. A careful manual entry that is still refused is the point at which writing to us becomes worthwhile.
Working yesterday, not today
Whose: the calendar. Check the expiry before anything else — a term ending produces precisely this and requires nothing reinstalled. Renewing restores the identical values within minutes and every favourite survives.
One device is permanently the unlucky one
Whose: sequencing. If the same screen is always refused, it is very likely simply the last switched on, and the tier rejects the newest stream. Change the order and the problem moves to a different room — which is how you prove it is not that device.
A new screen works, an old one stopped
Whose: the limit, and the order of switching on. The tier refuses the newest stream, so the screen that stops is whichever started last rather than whichever is faulty. Switch them on in a different order and the symptom moves — which is the quickest way to prove it is not the device.

Xtream Codes login IPTV FAQ
What should I check before writing to you?
The address, then the address again, then whether the term has ended. Between them those two account for the large majority of login failures that reach us. If both are clean, write — and say what you already tried, which saves an exchange.
Is the format legal?
It is a convention for passing an address, a name and a password, and mainstream apps in every app store use it. Nothing about it is restricted. The question with legal weight is whether a given service holds rights to what it distributes, which our legality article treats properly.
Can the password be changed?
Ask and a new one is issued. Worth doing if the credentials ever left the household, since whoever holds them holds the subscription and nothing stands behind them. Every screen then needs the new value entered.
What happens if we stop?
The line ends with the paid term and the values stop working. Records are kept for twelve months so a return can reuse the same credentials, then deleted. The privacy page carries the full schedule and how to have them removed sooner.
Do I need to understand this to use the service?
No, and most subscribers never think about it again after the first evening. It is worth three minutes for one reason: when a second television refuses to sign in six months from now, knowing which of the three values is likely wrong turns a support message into a ten-second fix.
Can two households share one line?
The credentials would technically work, but the simultaneous limit exposes it within about a week and the terms treat one line as one household. Accounts found shared beyond that are closed without refund, which is stated here rather than discovered later.
Where should the household keep the credentials?
A password manager if you use one, or a note on a phone. Anywhere except only in a chat thread, where they will be buried under several hundred later messages exactly when somebody wants to add a tablet on a Sunday evening.
Does the same login work with another provider?
It works in any player that speaks the format, which is nearly all of them — that portability is about software rather than suppliers. It will not work against somebody else's service, because the credentials are ours. The useful consequence is that changing supplier later costs you no apps and no setup.
Can I change my password?
Ask and a new one is issued. Worth doing if the credentials ever left the household, since whoever holds them holds the subscription. Every screen then needs the new value entered.
