Step-by-step setup
Confirm the platform first
Play Store on Android TV and Google TV; Downloader on a Firestick. **On Apple, Samsung or LG there is nothing to install and nothing coming** — TiViMate is Android software and always has been. Similarly named listings on those stores are unrelated products, some of them paid. Knowing this before you go looking saves an hour.
Add the playlist, which is not a playlist
Add playlist, then Xtream Codes login, then the server address, username and password. It will never ask for an M3U file and does not want one. Finding yourself searching messages for a playlist link means you took the wrong branch a screen ago.
Answer the category question seriously
It asks which groups to include and the temptation is to accept everything. Resist it. Choosing the fifteen or twenty this person would genuinely open converts an unusable line-up into something navigable by remote. It is reversible, so decisiveness costs nothing.
Set the guide to refresh itself
Settings, TV guide, every twelve hours. The programme source travels with the login, so there is no separate address to paste. People who miss this conclude the guide is unreliable when it is faithfully showing yesterday's listings — and that conclusion reaches us about once a week.
Build the group that makes it worth having
Their regular thirty or forty channels in a favourites group, set as the default view. If this is the sport screen, that group is competitions and nothing else. This is the ten minutes that decides whether the app was worth installing.
Spend the ten minutes on channel groups
TiViMate rewards curation more than any other player here. Hide every category this person will not open, put their regulars in a favourites group, and set that group as the default view. A list of thousands becomes a list of forty. It is the step that decides whether the app was worth installing, and it is always the one people skip.
Buy Premium in the right place
**This is the single most common TiViMate support message.** Premium is not bought on the television. Install TiViMate Companion on an Android phone, purchase there, and the licence attaches to the same Google account and appears on the television afterwards. People spend a long time looking for a purchase screen that does not exist on the device they are holding.
Know what Premium adds
About $9.99 a year, or a lifetime licence in the mid-thirties, with a seven-day trial. Recording, multiple playlists and multi-view. Multi-view is worth understanding: two matches in one window is a single stream against your plan rather than two, because the player composites them locally.
Leave the other screens on Smarters
There is no reason to standardise. TiViMate where the guide earns its money, Smarters everywhere else, identical credentials throughout. The account neither knows nor cares which application is asking.
Common errors and fixes
Playlist could not be loaded
Whose: usually the address. Check it still carries its port and the term has not lapsed, then type the password by hand rather than pasting — text taken from a chat window brings invisible characters far more often than seems credible.
Guide shows no information
Whose: patience, then the refresh setting. Settings, TV guide, Update now, then restart. Give a first load across a large line-up several minutes; impatience explains a good share of these reports.
Premium is not on the television
Whose: the purchase location. It lives in TiViMate Companion on a phone. Once bought there it appears here automatically against the same Google account — there is nothing to restore and nothing for us to activate.
Multi-view stutters
Whose: the hardware. Decoding two streams at once is more than a Firestick manages comfortably, particularly at 4K. Drop both windows to HD, or accept that multi-view wants a Shield or a Formuler. Not a fault in the streams, and the clearest case on this site of hardware being the limit.
Recordings stop partway through
Whose: storage, usually. A Firestick has very little free space and recordings default to internal memory. Point them at a USB drive or network storage and check the path in settings before assuming a stream dropped. This is the one TiViMate problem that is entirely self-inflicted and annoying to unwind.

TiViMate IPTV FAQ
Is multi-view one screen or two?
One. The player fetches both feeds and composites them locally, so your account sees a single stream. Useful to know before upgrading a tier you may not need.
What does Premium cost exactly?
About $9.99 for a year, or a one-off lifetime licence between roughly $34 and $38 depending on region. Seven-day trial, which is the sensible way to decide whether recording and multi-view matter in your house.
Does it work with our account?
Directly. Lines are issued as standard Xtream Codes logins, which is exactly what TiViMate expects, so guide, catch-up and on-demand all populate without extra configuration.
Can recordings be watched on another screen?
Not directly — they are written to the device that made them or to storage attached to it, and no other screen sees them. If somebody wants to record and watch elsewhere, network storage is the arrangement that works, and it is worth planning before recording rather than after.
Is Premium worth it if I mostly watch on demand?
Probably not. What Premium buys is recording, multi-view and multiple playlists, all of which matter for live sport and none of which matter much for a catalogue. The seven-day trial exists so you can answer this for your own household.
Does TiViMate work with any provider?
Yes — it is a player and holds no content. Any Xtream login or M3U playlist works in it, so the app is not tied to us and everything you configure survives a change of supplier.
What makes the guide worth switching player for?
It shows what is on now and next across every channel in a grid you can move around while something keeps playing in a corner. A basic player gives you a list of names and nothing else, so finding a fixture means knowing in advance where it is.
Why is there no Apple or Samsung version?
Because it is an Android application and those platforms are not Android. It is not a licensing dispute and no port is in progress. Anything on those stores wearing a similar name is an unrelated product, and some of them charge money for the resemblance.
