What you need
- A MAG 3xx, 4xx or 5xx, or a Formuler Z8, Z10 or Z11
- The MAC address from the label underneath
- The portal URL we send once you share that MAC
- Eight minutes, most of it waiting for a restart

Step-by-step setup
Send the MAC and stop there
It is printed underneath and shown under Settings, About device; on a MAG it begins 00:1A:79. **Photograph the label rather than retyping it.** A mistyped MAC is the single commonest cause of a MAG that will not activate, and a photograph removes the one variable neither of us can see. Then wait for our confirmation before touching anything else.
Claim the ethernet socket
Do this while you are behind the television anyway. This box is the screen that must not stutter when the house is busy, and a cable removes the largest single cause of the complaints that reach us. Nothing in software compensates for weak wifi as effectively as a two-dollar cable.
MAG: enter the portal, then restart
Settings, System settings, Servers, Portals. Name Portal 1 anything, paste the address we sent, save, restart. **It will not work before that restart**, and what you see in the meantime looks convincingly like failure. Restart first, diagnose second — in that order it is rarely necessary to diagnose at all.
Formuler: MyTVOnline, or skip the portal entirely
Open MyTVOnline 2 or 3, choose Add Portal, supply a name and the address. Or pick Xtream Codes and use the standard three credentials, which is simpler if you have them to hand. Formuler also runs Android players including TiViMate, and that flexibility is the main reason to choose one over a MAG.
Keep the MAC with your credentials
Write it beside the three login values rather than relying on the label surviving. You will need it if the box is replaced, if it is factory reset, or if the portal has to be reissued. It is the one piece of information on this platform that only you have, and hunting for it underneath a television is nobody's idea of an evening.
Let it load, then learn the coloured keys
After the restart the box pulls the 25,000+ channels with its built-in guide. The coloured remote buttons drive favourites and the EPG, and a MAG remote does this genuinely better than anything bundled with a streaming stick.
Keep the cheap screens on sticks
One good box on the main television, thirty-dollar sticks everywhere else, all on the same account. That is where households who buy a MAG almost always end up, and knowing it now may stop you spending $150 on a room that gets two hours a week.
Common errors and fixes
STB blocked, or a blank screen
Whose: ours to fix, yours to report accurately. Either the MAC is not activated yet or a character went astray. Photograph the label and send the picture — that resolves it within minutes almost every time, because it removes the transcription error from the loop entirely.
It worked, then a power cut killed it
Whose: the box. MAG units sometimes lose the portal entry when power goes unexpectedly. Re-enter it under Settings, System settings, Servers, Portals and restart. Your activation is untouched, so there is nothing to ask us for and nothing to pay again.
Formuler wants a portal and I have credentials
Whose: neither — wrong menu. Use the Xtream option, which MyTVOnline offers on the same screen. The portal route exists for MAG hardware; on a Formuler it is one option among several.
The guide redraws slowly
Whose: the hardware, on older models. Hiding unwatched categories makes a visible difference. On a 3xx series the box is genuinely old and no setting will make it feel otherwise — we will tell you that rather than move you between servers.
Portal saved but channels never arrive
Whose: the restart, nine times out of ten. The box must be restarted after the portal is entered and the screen before that restart looks convincingly like failure. If you have restarted and it is still empty, send us the MAC again — occasionally an activation does not take and it is ours to redo.
Which app is best for this device
TiViMate
Set up TiViMate on Android TV, Firestick or a box with your Xtream login, and find out why Premium is bought on a phone rather than the television.

MAG and Formuler box IPTV FAQ
Why does this one need me to contact you first?
Because the portal method binds your line to that specific box rather than to an account you log into — it is how Infomir designed the platform. It is the only setup on this site that cannot be completed without us, which is worth knowing before you buy the hardware.
Better than a Firestick?
On a main television watched daily, yes: better remote, faster guide, an ethernet socket, nothing to sideload. It costs $120 to $180 against $30 to $50. On a bedroom set the stick wins on value and nobody notices the difference.
Should I buy one before trying the service?
No, and the order matters. Run the trial on hardware you already own. Buying a box to answer a question a Firestick answers for nothing is $150 spent in the wrong sequence, and we would rather say so than take the order.
What if I replace the box?
Send the new MAC and the portal moves across, usually within the hour, at no charge. It is a two-minute job — but it is a job, which is a fair reason not to buy several MAGs when sticks would do.
Can I move the box to another house?
Yes — the portal follows the MAC rather than a location. What does not follow you is whatever your internet provider was doing locally, so a box that behaved in one house may behave differently in another. Worth remembering before concluding it developed a fault during the move.
Which model would you actually buy?
A Formuler Z11 Pro Max if you want Android players available alongside the portal, which most people eventually do. A MAG 540 if you want the simplest possible appliance. Neither before a trial on hardware you already own has told you the service suits you.
Does the box need its own internet connection?
It uses your existing one like anything else. What it has that a stick does not is an ethernet socket, which is the entire reason to prefer it on a main television in a busy house — and the reason we suggest claiming that socket before configuring anything.
